In addition to that, my Galaxy S5 is not working as earlier since it became unresponsive for the past few months. Therefore, I needed a change and guess what? I gifted a new iPhone to myself.
Firstly, I was pleased after buying an Apple device, but later, I found one issue with it, not with the iOS though! Actually, I needed to transfer all my text messages from my older android phone to my newly purchased iPhone. Since each data was very important to me, I made a smooth transition by using Android to iPhone Transfer.

Note: Move to iOS can’t help to transfer SMS from Android to iOS

I am afraid to say that your attempts were a waste of time, weren’t they? However, this is an official app suggested by Apple in order to transfer data from another device to the iPhone; you can only transfer selected kind of information with it. Step 2: Connect Android device and iPhone to the computer
Here, you need to connect your respective mobile devices to the computer by using a USB cable. Be sure that you have already installed USB drivers. Otherwise, you will not be able to proceed to the next step. Once you connect your devices, the app will automatically recognize the device and start scanning the phone in order to bring all the data which are stored in both the devices.
Step 3: Examine and Load the Data on your Android device.
Once the program completes the detection of mobile devices, it will start analyzing the SIM and mobile’s memory. Besides, it will automatically load the data which will be displayed in the window below.

Apple’s Move to iOS app is an official app which allows users to transfer messages from Android device to the iPhone. Note that this application will only work if you are not using newer iPhones. Follow the mentioned steps below to start the transfer process.
- You need to download Move to iOS application on your android device which is available on Google Play Store
- Switch on your iPhone, and perform on-screen instructions to set up it.
- Once you reach to the App & Data Screen, select Move data from Android
- Launch Move to iOS on your Android device and tap continue
- Now, you need to wait for a few seconds until 10 digit or 6-digit code appears on your iPhone
- Put the same code on your Android device and wait until Transfer Data Screen opens up
- Next, select the data on your android phone which you want to transfer. In our case, select messages
- Now, select Next to transfer the messages/SMS
Option 3: Import Android Messages to iPhone using SMS backup+
Not completely satisfying but useful, this is another way of transferring messages from Android to iPhone by using SMS Backup+. It allows users to backup text messages on Gmail account which you can later view in your iPhone. Follow the mentioned steps below that will guide you about the complete procedure.
- At first, you need to login to your Gmail account and then go to Settings > Forward and POP/IMAP.
- Tick Enable IMAP option and save changes.
- Next, install SMS Backup+ form Google Play Store on your Android device.
- Launch it and select Connect (As shown below)
- Next, choose the Gmail account on which you want to back up your message
- Now, select the Backup option in order to back up messages on the selected Google account.
Once you complete the final step, you can easily access Google account on your iPhone. The reason that I have said that this method is less satisfying is that you can only view the messages and cannot import those messages on your iPhone.
