Like many other features, turning off iPhone 11 requires you to follow a new process. Older iPhones had the Power button on the side that needed to be pressed and held until the “ Slide to Power Off ” option appeared which turned off the device. Now, this feature activates Siri on your iPhone 11.

Turning Off iPhone 11 Using Buttons
Apple incorporated a couple of ways to turn off the iPhone 11 using buttons—
You can switch off your iPhone 11 by simultaneously pressing and holding the Volume Up or Volume Down button and the Side button until the “Slide to Power Off” option appears.

NOTE: On quickly pressing the Side button and the Volume Up button would take a screenshot instead of displaying the “Slide to Power Off” option.
You can also try to quickly press the Volume Up and Volume Down button in a sequence and then press and hold the Side button for the “Slide to Power Off” slider to appear. The SOS slider won’t get displayed when you use this method. This works best when you are nervous about accidentally dialing an emergency call.
Press and hold the Side and Volume Up buttons together to access the Slide to Power Off slider. To switch off the iPhone, you need to drag the slider to the right side of the screen.

NOTE: You’ll be asked to enter your passcode to access your phone in case you cancel any of these methods using the Cancel button.
Turn Off Your iPhone 11 from the Setting Menu
An alternate method for turning your iPhone 11 is available in the Settings Menu which might be useful for those who are not confident at using the buttons. Follow these steps to turn off your phone —

Tap on Settings on your Home screen to open the Settings menu.

Tap General in the Settings Menu.

At the bottom of the General menu, tap Shut Down to get access to the “Slide to Power Off” slider.

Slide the slider to the right side of your screen to switch off your iPhone.
Following the above methods, you won’t have much difficulty switching off your iPhone. Switching on the iPhone 11 hasn’t changed. All you need to do is press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
