Watch history and Browsing history

When you open Amazon Prime videos all that stream online from anime to movies to shows everything gets saved. There are two kinds of history Watch history and browse history.

The shows you have seen will be saved on your watch history, while the shows you have clicked but haven’t viewed get saved in your browsing history. You can also turn off your Browsing History in Your Browsing History. It’s easy to do so. Just go to click “Turn off browsing history.”

Delete watch History on the website

If you use your desktop for stream Amazon prime videos, you can also clear your watch history on desktop. Follow the steps mentioned below to do so:

Step 1: Open Amazon Prime videos on your browser and log in to your account.

Step2: Click on the account icon displayed on the top right corner of your screen.

Step 3: Now choose “Account & Settings” option.

Step 4: Search for “Watch History” and then “View Watch History”, it will showcase all videos seen from your account.

Step5: Now click on “Remove” icon beside the video you wish to remove to from your Prime Watch History. Here you will not be able to remove all items at once from “Watch History”, so you have to do it one by one.

Delete History From from phone application

Amazon does not allow to remove watch history on the Prime application for Android or iPhone. This action can only be done through the website as we have mentioned above. With the application, you clear out video search history and doing this all amazon video search history will be removed.

Try following steps to clear video search history using the mobile application.

Step 1: Open Prime Video app.

Step2:  Tap on the Settings icon at the bottom of the screen. Some devices will show Hamburger icon (three vertical lines) so if this is case select that.

Step 3: Now click on “Clear Video Search History” option. Your account’s search history will clear successfully.

Remove Recommendations from Amazon Prime Video

Along with saving watch history, Amazon Prime Video recommends similar videos based on your video viewing history. In the main page, you can see the “Watch Next”, which provides TV and movies recommendations based on your video watch history. So it’s better to remove them at Watch Next TV and Movies. Here is how you can do it:

Step 1: Navigate to “Watch Next TV and Movies” section. Select the blue “Edit” link above.

Step 2: A large “X” symbol will appear in the center of each video. To remove video recommendations, click the “X” on the video. You can delete some videos or all. After clicking, the show will disappear in time.

Step 3: If you are done with removing, click “Done”.

You can completely remove all history of the video you streamed by deleting Watch History, Browsing History and Watch Next recommendation.
