People who are still unaware of the Live Photos, we would like to provide you some necessary information about the same.  It was first introduced in iOS 9 and iPhone 6s/6 Plus. Additionally, during our research, we have found that it is considered as one of the prominent highlights introduced in smartphones. The live photo animates for 1.5 seconds with motion and then appears to be still. If you want to get it back, all you need to do is perform a long-press on your iOS device.  Due to the availability of 3D touch,  you can turn still photo into animation mode.

Follow the mentioned steps below to Set live photos as wallpaper on iPhone X

Step 1: Open Settings app on your iPhone.
Step2: Next, tap on Wallpaper.

Step 3: Next up, you need to select ‘Choose a New Wallpaper’ option.

Step 4: Now, you will find three options that are Dynamic, Stills, and Live. From those options, you can make your selection. In our case, tap on Live.
Step5: Next, select the image that you wish to set as live wallpaper.

Step 6: Thereafter, ensure that you have selected Live Photo.
Step 7: From the bottom right corner, tap on Set.
Step8: Now, you will find four options which are:

  1. Set lock Screen
  2. Then set Home Screen
  3. Set Both
  4. Cancel

You can select as per your requirement. For example, here, we are selecting Set Both.

That’s all, you can check out the home screen, in which you will find glowing live wallpaper on your device.

How to set up live photos as wallpaper on iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X

 Follow the steps mentioned below to set up live wallpaper.

Step 1: Launch Photos app on your iOS device.
Step2: Tap on the Albums, provided at the bottom right corner
Step 3: Then, you need to tap on Live Photos album.

Step 4: Next up, search for the photo that you wish to set as a live wallpaper, and make the selection.
Step5: Now, you need to tap on the share icon, provided at the bottom left corner.
Step 6: Tap on Use as Wallpaper.
Step7: Here, you need to make sure that Live Photos tab is enabled.
Step 8: Next up, tap on Set.
Step 9: Just like Live photos, you need to make a selection from the options. Choose any of from Lock Screen, Home Screen, or for both options to set up a live wallpaper.

To experience the new look of your device, lock your device, and then wake the screen. After that, you need to touch and hold the screen to make the photo alive.
