Turn Off Wrist Detection

If the sensor is broken, your Apple Watch may not be able to tell that you are wearing it. So, you do not receive notifications. You need to turn off Wrist Detection entirely.     • Notifications Off: The app does not send notifications.
    • If you customize the notifications of an app, you can also group notifications from that app. You need to tap Notification grouping then choose an option:
      • Off
      • Automatically
      • By the app
    • If you cannot customize an app, you can still turn off its notifications. You need to scroll down to the Mirror iPhone Alerts From section and turn off the setting next to the app.

If you do not get notifications on your Apple Watch from a specific app, then you may turn off alerts for the app. Follow the below steps if not receiving notifications for a specific App:

  • You need to go to the Watch app on your iPhone and tap Notifications.
  • When you scroll down, you see a list of the apps installed on your Apple Watch.
  • You need to find the app from which you do not receive the notifications and then tap on it.
  • If you have custom settings for the app, ensure that the switch next to Show Alerts is turned on. You see Show Alerts is on when the switch next to it is green.
  • If you mirroring the notification settings on your iPhone for the app, you need to go to the Settings app on your iPhone and tap Notifications.

Apple Watch requires an active Bluetooth connection in order to receive notifications in real-time. You need to check if your Apple Watch is properly connected with your iPhone.
